Latest Update 5th and Maple- June 2025

Hello Neighbors and Friends,

Well the City Council survey results haven't been published as far as I can find. But a little bird said our responses of "2 pedestrian signs at 5th and Maple" accounted for approximately 25% of the overall results, so I think our point was made. The city is beginning the eastside arterial project and that will extend 9th street up to the highway and supposedly route trucks and traffic up 9th. But Maple is the ONLY street that crosses over town completely West to East. So traffic in the intersection will still have the same level of traffic going through it. The city has have not provided any information on if we are getting pedestrian signs or any other improvements to the area. If you are interested in collaborating on signs for the neighborhood, please contact me. PCC Schlosser put their own pedestrian signs up on Hemlock, so why not us? :)
